Pro Dive Instructor Management Traineeship - 17 Weeks

This is a comprehensive package of professional Pro Dive training at the Pro Dive Academy, leading to PADI  Master Scuba Diver Trainer award and worldwide job opportunities. This traineeship follows the well-established PADI modular programme starting with Advanced Open Water Diver. It includes a list of specialty courses to ensure you are competent in all areas of dive operation.

The traineeship includes a dive-away experience - a two week period after your Divemaster assessment, where you log more dives, gain experience and take your first steps as a dive professional. In the first week you assist on dive courses in Sydney, usually working from Pro Dive's dive boat, Sea Life V. In the second week you fly off to Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef for a week, diving in paradise; airfares included.

After dive-away, you return to Sydney to take part in the Assistant Instructor course. Next you join your Instructor Development Course (IDC). This is designed to teach you all you need to know about dive training within the PADI scheme, as well as preparing you for the specific job of teaching the sport. This is followed by Pro Dive's IDC Plus, where you recap the essential skills, practise your teaching techniques and undertake a mock exam. A short period of revision and practical rehearsal ensures you are ready to pass your Instructor Examination with flying colours.

The final four weeks of the traineeship are spent on a Graduate Dive Management programme, where you add to your list of professional qualifications towards your rating of PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
